On the SROFort server#
The company website, management database and your SROFort filter processes run on the company server. Your subscription receives its own configuration, runtime identity and assigned ports.
The application release is shared. Your workspace holds customer-specific state rather than a full copy of every program.
On your game machine#
Your original Gateway, Download, AgentServer, GameServer and ShardManager stay on your machine. Your SQL Server holds your original game databases and the two SROFort product databases.
Two different control paths#
Server Control manages the company-hosted filters. Your original game programs stay yours: you start and stop them on your machine as before, and nothing is installed there. Restarting a SROFort filter is different from restarting an original game program.
A single company host is a shared infrastructure dependency. A host outage can affect several customers even when individual process actions are scoped to one workspace.
